Print Publisher looking for Artists |
Wild Apple publish art posters. They also license art, that is, they help manufacturers use artwork to enhance their products.
Wild Apple are always on the hunt for artists to publish and license. They look for talented artists and seek to stretch and improve their collection to meet the needs of a changing marketplace.
They accept art submissions on an ongoing basis. However, it is only fair to let you know that they end up taking on a very small percentage of the very large number of artists who approach them.
What They Look For:
- Artists with fresh, marketable artwork, with broad decorative appeal appropriate for wall décor and licensing onto home products.
- Artists who are trend conscious.
- Artists willing and able to take art direction.
- Artists with portfolios of 15+ print-ready images.
- Currently they seek contemporary imagery; somewhat edgy images are welcome.
- Landscapes, decorative objects, and abstracts are also popular.
- For licensing, artists willing to paint various holiday art, coffees, wines, grapes, coastal and other “staple” themes consistently requested by their clients.
- Black and white photography generally is better received than colour photography. New formats or techniques (e.g., emulsion transfers onto textured surfaces) are preferred. (No photography with computer filters applied.)
- They do not publish religious art, nudes, violent or graphically disturbing art.
(Suggestion: Take a walk through some of the major retailers near you. Check out the framed art, the dinnerware, bath ensembles and other home products to see if your artwork would be applicable.)

Publisher looking for New Age Artwork |
Llewellyn Worldwide is well known for its New Age books and products. They are looking for skilled freelance artists and photographers for a variety of projects including book covers, book interiors, and calendars. It is an asset, but not necessary, to have a good knowledge of the subject matter: magic, Wicca, astrology, tarot, yoga, mythology, women’s spirituality, health, gardening, self transformation, etc.
They utilize a wide variety of styles and mediums, ranging from abstract to realistic imagery, in full colour or black and white. If the work is figurative in nature, the anatomy must be accurate. Soft pencil, stipple, and pastels are not encouraged due to poor reproduction on press.

Are you interested in The Emergence Project? |
Being represented by The Emergence Project means that you are part of a select group of emerging, avant-garde artists that are dedicated to changing the norms of the art world in order to better benefit working artists. The Emergence Project will take care of business so that you have more time to focus on your work. They utilize an extensive mailing list of current collectors of emerging artists and actively advertise and promote The Emergence Project. This includes several postcard mailings per year. They give you another avenue in which to sell your work with no exclusivity required. There will also be possibilities for future group exhibitions organized by The Emergence Project. They are seeking emerging artists who have little or no representation by galleries. A qualified artist will have at least seven gallery-quality works completed in a consistent style and available for sale. Artists will be selected based on the quality of their work, not their credentials. They are seeking serious artists that are dedicated to their profession, who will become an important part of the art community in the future - the next generation of avant-garde artists. This is an extremely selective project and they will only be including artists that mesh with The Emergence Project's vision.
